My Grandpa Engelsma passed away this morning.  He would have been 92 on Nov. 30.

Mya on vacation

 

We spent the 4th of July at Cabins in central IA.  It was 100 degrees that whole week.  Mya mostly sat in dirt and ate anything but food.  Good thing she's addicted to her bottle so she stay hydrated.

 

There she goes!

Mya's walking!  She's eleven months.  Not the earliest for our kids, but she's a lot more careful and precise about it than Ethan ever was.

 

Actually, he still isn't so precise.  He was pushing Mya in her little car tonight and decided to send her down the driveway on her own.  The car hit the woodchip pile, and the car tipped and skidded to a halt on her face.  I heard the wail and came running just as the neighbor scooped her up (he was mowing his grass...) and brought her to me.  A bit of road rash, but nothing too drastic.  Poor baby.

 

This one is a handful!

Tomorrow we're setting up the pack-and-play so Mom can have a moment's reprieve.  This little girl is very busy and it's hard to keep a step ahead of her.

 

 

 

 

Don't let the pretty dress fool you...

I was trying to get a picture of Mya in her cute dress sitting by my pansies.  She would have none of it.  Instead she wanted to play with the bull dozer and play in our seedlings for the garden.
 

They say if you can't beat them, join them.  So... we put on old, grubby clothes and let her have at it.  John thinks it's great that she's such a tomboy.  I'm worried about pin worms and other nasties she may injest...  (She's obviously not.)

Levi turns 10!

Levi turned 10 last weekend!  (This silly face is because his aunt was making him laugh.) 

Who'da thunk we'd be having 80 degrees and a picnic on his birthday?  I'm all for it! 

Levi had a new little helper this year to help him open his gifts.  

 Since Levi is almost as tall as me, he needed a new bike!  Unfortunately, he saw it stored at the neighbors' so he wasn't surprised.  Shoot.  Have to be sneakier next time!
