When I was in high school, my Mom worked full time (as a nurse) for a couple of months during flu season. In preparation for that, she bought a cookbook that showed you how to make 30 meals in one day. The cookbook has all the recipes, shopping lists, etc. I have always wanted to do this, too, since I no longer enjoy making food in the kitchen. A couple of weeks ago, Mom (and Gram) came over and we did it. We made 31 meals. We started around 9:30 and ended around 3:30. It helped that Gram did the dishes! It is SO awesome to just pick something out of the freezer to eat for supper. Some are quick, heat up meals, others are Crock-Pot recipes, others need a minimal amount of assembly, but there is a great variety. If making 30 meals sounds intimidating, this cookbook also has a couple of 2 week meal plans, too. A couple of the recipes I wasn't sure we'd like, so we tweaked them a bit, or I'll give them to someone for a baby meal or bring them to a potluck for someone else to enjoy. Here's the book we used, if you're interested.
